The case and drawers, the glove boxes case and drawers, and the mirror and harp are all the original finish. As are the pulls. The original finish has been cleaned and moisturized [the finish was in good shape and intact but dry and dull]. The inside drawers were fully lined with glitter contact paper from the 1950s so after removing that the inside drawers are clean. The top drawer has a dark moisture spot but has been sanded and re-shellacked. The small gliding tray is missing from the top drawer. The tops were refinished because there were several ring marks that went through the finish and trying to repair them would have only made them more noticeable. There was no discoloration [black stain marks] in the wood from the ring marks. The dresser case and drawers were used but have remained in nice structural condition with no loose joints, cracks, splits, or repairs. It was mold-free and odor-free. The drawers have oak as the secondary wood and are dovetailed. They glide in and out smoothly and do not "droop" when opened. The case is solid 3/4" walnut wood. The mirror is in great shape with no streaks or flaking. The frame around the mirror is in nice condition. as discussed the harp has the old repair issue but its finish is in nice condition and has its original mirror mounts and they can be tightened to make the mirror stay in place or loosened so it will swivel. The mirror harp and mirror is a set in peg so it lifts off and can be put back on the dresser easily. It is sturdy. less
