Fine vintage Blue & White Chinese Meiping shaped vase. Hand painted in a traditional allover flower blossom Ming style in various shades of blue from light blue to ink blue. The shoulder is painted in a contrasting design composed of repeating clusters of 5-pointed blossoms against a layered spiral pattern.
This is one of the most elegant forms of Chinese vases - also known as the Plum vase. A short flaring neck over a voluptuous body with a slightly flared foot - a beautiful balance of shape and form. A very striking work of art and shilouhette.
Hallmarked on the underside as shown.
Condition is excellent.
Vintage last half 20th century.
