Marble has a very small imperfection in one spot highlighted in picture four and brass base has spot where it has been repaired highlighted in the last picture twelve. I didn’t even notice it until I was doing the close up pictures for this listing. See pictures for best details on condition.

Large … more 19th Century Meriden Bronze Co. ornate brass/bronze and marble oil banquet lamp converted to electric with tapered white shade. Large banquet lamp with so many beautiful intricate details like cherubs, eagles, and flowers to name a few. It’s elegant details and radiant glow will increase any rooms character or looks. Lamp has been expertly converted to electric and to house a shade and according to elements when electric was first available. Since it was expertly converted without damaging any of the elements it would be easy to convert back to oil if that is what you prefer. You will not find another one like it anywhere. I’m sure if you clean it up it would easily polish up bright and shiny, but not everyone likes that so I sell items as I find them without cleaning or polishing them.
