This set has a heavy mid-century Scandinavian influence in the design of all serving pieces. Not so much in the floral design, but in the design of the actual physical pieces. The gold trim is in excellent condition. There are areas of slight rub-off both flowers and gold, consistent with age. There are NO chips, cracks or crazing. I can easily see mixing these with solid color dishes in complementary solid color china or even everyday dishes. These pieces would add elegance to any table.
