An exceptional Chinese porcelain vase and cover in the Hawthorne pattern decorated with a cracked ice ground and with three … more An exceptional Chinese porcelain vase and cover in the Hawthorne pattern decorated with a cracked ice ground and with three reserve panels depicting precious objects - censers, altar tables, vases, ruyi, etc. Rough lip and foot consistent with age. The cover has been broken and with 19th century museum restoration - a process whereby gold is used to seam the breaks. Vase alone measures 8 3/4" tall - and with cap and hardwood stand it measures 10 1/4" tall. less
