Each differently and uniquely … more A fine and rare Dagoty tea service comprising a tea pot, two cups and two saucers. Each differently and uniquely decorated with classical figures and symbols in an orange / iron red palette. Enhanced with high quality gilding; the spout and handle with stylized zoomorphic features of a lion's head and a dolphin in a glazed technique used to simulate patinated bronze. The teapot measures 9" long. Saucers marked in red stencil P.L. Dagoty A Paris; cups simply Dagoty A Paris. Dates from 1810. Excellent condition - spout has a minor flake at the edge - does not detract. Perfect for an Empire or Regency interior. less
