The tessellated stone is … more A unique Bombay style tessellated stone three drawer chest or commode with brass inlay on top. The tessellated stone is a mixture of white, cream and brown tones with some gray and black tessellated stone for the center piece on top. A gorgeous piece sure to draw attention. This diminutive chest could double as a nightstand or an occasional table. The chest was made in the Philippines and attributed to Maitland-Smith; however, there is no identifiable maker’s mark. This piece is in very good preowned condition with no noted chips to the tessellated stone. There is some wear to the painted inside edges of the drawers; see photograph. less
