Beautiful, and very rare vintage Murano handblown orange Ombre fade rim Italian art glass encased bird centerpiece / display bowl, with gold flecks, and iridescent glass on the bird figure. Documented to designer Alfredo Barbini, for the Salviati company, circa 1950s. In the style of his earlier VAMSA pieces. Very unusual size and subject (these are usually done with fish in them). Would make a great display piece on any table. Use it as a catchall, or sculptural piece displayed on a stand. Mid-century era. Measures: 10" across.
