The greatest feature of this piece is a small crack on the rim and that it was reinforced by the artist with golden brass rivets. It is a traditional repair technique for fine wooden ware which in result adds distinctive feature to cherished pieces. A perfect imperfection - This is what the Japanese people appreciate greatly with fine crafts, even when it is newly made. This is not flaw and this item is new.

Fine birds-eye figure appeared partly on the front side of the item.
