- Vintage; Circa 1930's-40's, Art Deco era, is this Monumental and thick walled, a la "Lalique-Style," is from Czechoslovakian Artist Joseph … more Vintage; Circa 1930's-40's, Art Deco era, is this Monumental and thick walled, a la "Lalique-Style," is from Czechoslovakian Artist Joseph Inward Barolac a crystal faceted, "Birds," relief bowl. We think the birds are meant to be doves, but the rumination of a well crafted bowl with the textural look and feel of the birds' wings, body and declinations of accented and con-cave areas within a body, hence,the birds is a fabulous representation of a decorative accent and/or center bowl. Boracic, was a line of a combination of frosted and clear aspects and the somewhat concave center base bottom, as well as nature, elements of it be it nature, forestry, trees and animals, such as birds here in this piece, being the theme. Some of Barolacs' pieces were manufactured exclusively for John Jenkins & Sons, of London, England. as is such this piece. In great condition. less
