All … more A gorgeous Victorian English fish slice/server in solid silver hallmarked London 1837 (the first year of Queen Victoria's reign). All hallmarks are deep and easy to read except the maker's mark. A dealer in antique silver could no doubt help identify the maker. The server is of impressive weight and it is lightly engraved with a fetching bull's head crest. A large shell motif decorates the end of the handle and the blade is of a pleasing pierced pattern. The server is in excellent condition with few marks, which look more like drawer or polishing marks than actual use. Like most serving pieces, this one can be used for whatever suits your lifestyle. A real prize and a durable piece of history. less
