This colorful Herend lamp is in the famous Queen Victoria pattern. Herend is a Hungarian manufacturing company that specializes in luxury hand painted and gilded porcelain. Founded in 1826, it is based in the town of Herend. At the London World Exhibition in 1851, Queen Victoria ordered a large table service with this flowers and butterflies motif. The pattern soon became known by her name and has remained a favorite. The whimsical botanical design is in hues of pink, blue, purple, green, yellow and orange. The gilt wooden base is a rare variation and sturdy addition. Gold gilt accents on the lamp are perfectly complemented by the golden interior of the shade and its gold braided trim.
