The chairs are light … more This is an elegant set of six vintage painted and parcel gilt French style dining chairs. The chairs are light beige and the fabric is silk brocade. The chairs are from 1930-50. They have floor level stretchers to reduce wear to a carpet or rug area.
The set includes one armchair and five side chairs. Each chair has a set of parcel gilt stylized shell-carved "ears" over rectangular backs with raised cream patterned silk upholster,y. the trapezoidal seats over-the-rail upholstered, raised on scrolled cabriole front legs, all on H-form slides.
