Some of the most iconic and sought after images of modern music and art. In 1967, the Beatles and their manager reached out to American photographer Richard Avedon to help create the psychedelic visualisation first realised musically in their most recent album at the time - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
These portraits of each band member: Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and John Lennon acted as a point of reference for other imagery of the era, perfectly capturing the zeitgeist of the 1960's. This Paul McCartney portrait features the iconic colour manipulation using popping blues, greens and magentas. These pop art pieces are the versions distributed by Stern in Europe, and have been linen-backed to preserve the artwork in mint condition for decades to come. less
