- This is a wonderful original piece. One of a couple sporting art duck paintings I recently acquired. This is one … more This is a wonderful original piece. One of a couple sporting art duck paintings I recently acquired. This is one of those paintings, that I believe is as good as or even better than one of the masters of this art form, Aiden Lassell Ripley. This is a wonderful work by 20th Century American sporting artist, Kenneth Smallwood. Surprisingly, there is not a full biography on the artist. Especially considering how his work is out there and highly collected. This is a wonderful watercolor and gouache on paper measuring 16 3/4 x 11 inches. Signed lower right corner. Painting is in nearly perfect condition. Clean and completely unfaded. Really a stunning work. Archival matted and a nice wood frame that shows some minor nicks but makes a great presentation. Frame measures 25 1/2 x 18 1/2 inches. less
