"Born October 22, in Leogane, Remy Surpris had seven years of schooling at Casernes Dessalines, A self-taught artist he began painting at the age of 16 designing with pencil. Initially, he was under the guide of his cousin Guy Beauvais." The painting is in great shape and has always been well cared for. No major issues with the canvas, and no paint peeling. The wood frame works great with it and is in good shape as well. The artist signed the bottom right and dated it "87". Really nice detailed piece. Measures 21L x 1W x 7H.
