- Vintage; Is this solid and heavy bronze vide-poche ashtray, and/or catchall decorative piece with concave center, that has some ethnic … more Vintage; Is this solid and heavy bronze vide-poche ashtray, and/or catchall decorative piece with concave center, that has some ethnic alphabet letters or Hieroglyphic images, we cannot zero in on the actual provenance design. We do not know if it is Aztec-Style, or ethnic Egyptian Revival design, even though leans towards that, but is a nod, and in the manner and style of Pepe Mendoza's design esthetic Fluted rests on each opposing ended sides as close up and overall images indicate. In great condition. On the underside there seems to be evidence of an oval-shaped sticker which was affixed, but was not evident when we acquired it. Alas, it is a wonderful addition for any interior someone, coffee table, console, office, desk, etc. A wonderful stocking stuffer too! less
