The hardcover book with linen covered boards, embossed cover titles, and dust jacket is printed in Japan in 1988, published by Abrams New York and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It features an expansive retrospective survey published on the occasion of the exhibition.
David Hockney ( B. 1937 ) is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer, and photographer. He is an important contributor to the Pop Art movement of the 1960's. He is considered to be one of the most influential British artists of The 20th Century. His artworks have commanded greater popular acclaim than any other Contemporary British artist. The Pop Art Expressionist style artworks have been the subject of more than 400 solo exhibitions. Art works by Hockney are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
