- These aren't your everyday gold leaf glasses. These 22 kt gold glasses were made culver style by Libbey in the … more These aren't your everyday gold leaf glasses. These 22 kt gold glasses were made culver style by Libbey in the 60s and 70s. The glass underneath was frosted to give it a good foundation then 2 layers and types of gold was applied. First the thinner layer to give it the background, then a thicker, more 3d layer giving depth to the leaves. These are what they called footed rocks glasses, though you could easily make a case for cordials or wine. I had 12 of these. I found 4 of them lacking. These are as close to mint as I'm likely to find available at this point. I'm fine with being proven wrong, though. I have other pieces of this set listed separately in my store.
