By photographing these simple forms on the typically Dutch tablecloth that farmers still use, she wants to accentuate the purity of this way of live. The red cabbage is just lying there, and because it is so clumsy, big and log it impresses the smal blueberries. As an art historian Marlou has always been inspired by the Old Dutch Masters, where the painter Adriaen Coorte is an example to her of showing in a minimalistic way the beauty and simplicity of life.
