#1901 – Danish Modern / Mid century Teak “Gold Hill” Foot Stool – Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup Stølefabrik
Great specimen modernist accessory. Danish modern folding stool designed by Poul Hundevad for Vamdrup Stølefabrik. The "Guldhøj" – Gold Hill (PH-43) stool design was modeled after a similar, well preserved piece that was excavated from a burial site near Vamdrup, Denmark in 1891 that dated back to somewhere around 1300 BC.
This model features a teak frame with its original cognac leather sling. Folding design makes it easy to store if need be, but it would be a shame to not have such a lovely specimen out on display. Excellent shape overall. Leather sling shows some patina + spotting, but not significant. Just adds to the overall character.
