Monumental Brass and Copper Wall Sculpture of Sailboats at Dusk, gently moored for the night. Colorful flags and birds fly above in this pre-sunset work.
Hand signed and dated by the artist, C. Jere, 1984.
This is one of my favorite Jere sculptures.
The scale is enormous, but the design, with its intricate lines, flag poles and minute detailing, displays more like a minimalist line drawing. Elegant, focal but not overwhelming.
The composition of warm mixed metals ranging in brass to copper tones, colorfully accented waving flags and birds in flight above, create an elegantly, tranquil display
Lovely interior addition to a home, beach house, yacht club, professional and corporate setting
