The piece was hand made by Rude Osolnik, probably in the 1960's. The sculpture consists of the compote, what appears to be a pear and three fruit attached to a branch. Compotes are rare among Osolnik's work, I have never seen the fruit before. I am not 100% positive the fruit was made by Osolnik, but the woods and color look similar to the compote and the proportions are about right, so I am thinking the fruit is by Osolnik as well. Incredible original condition, even with the original felt pad under neath. The compote is signed on the bottom: "Osolnik Originals". The sculpture is approximately 5 1/2 inches tall and 6 5/8 inches at it's widest. The pear is 4 inches long, the other fruit 1 inch in diameter. less
