Staples were used from the early 1900s and back to repair special and important porcelain pieces. Since it most was found in a shipwreck, it has lost some of the glaze and has spots. Description: Antique Chinese blue and white dragon porcelain plate. Floral motifs on underside rim. 17th to 18th century.

Kangxi (1662-1723) or Yongzheng period (1723-1735). This plate has four dragons. It has a folk art-like appearance with a dragon in the center and three around the edge. The dragons are a cobalt underglaze blue. The Gardner museum has a similar one in their collection. Most of the glaze has worn off, and, possibly, it was from a shipwreck.
