A pair of really nice and really cool lucite and chromed steel "PLIA" style folding chairs. As there are no labels or markings on these two chairs we are using "in the style of or attributed to" to denote maker and manufactures.
The PLIA chair was made in Italy in the 1960s - 1970s. The designer was Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli. The maker was ANONIMA Castelli.
The chairs fold to only 2.5" flat for easy storage. They have a chromed steel frame and lucite seat and backrest. The seat has the center round impression. The bottom rails have plastic glides. The chairs measure 18.5" wide x 20.1." deep when opened x 29.1" high. There is a bit of tarnish to the frame in spots and the lucite has a few scratches but nothing that distracts from the "coolness" of the chairs. less
