The porcelain dish is round and is hand-painted with a metallic pink border on a crisp white background. A gold rim is hand-painted on the edges. At the center, colorful green and brown pheasant is painted sitting amongst the ground and leaves.

Marked at the back in red with "Japan" and a red seal.
