This wood chest is covered with stretched leather that is painted with a gorgeous central lozenge scene depicting a man and a woman. The background is vibrant red with geometric designs in blue, green, and gold. The border has stylized floral accents. The chest has arrow shaped forged metal strapping bands around the edge and ornate decorative corner pieces. There is a decorative latch plate with a metal clasp. Cracking leather, wear and patina developed with time add charm to this century old trunk. less
