1938 Weil Ware of California Ming Tree Green orchid or bonsai planter. This lovely planter is glossy emerald green with white coraline applied textured leaves on a Ming or Bonsai tree. The vase is marked on the bottom.

Weil of California was founded by Max Weil and was initially called California Figurine Company. They operated out of Los Angeles, CA from sometime in the 1930’s to 1946. In 1946 the company moved its operations to Pasadena, CA and changed its name to Weil of California. Weil made a variety of pottery items, including “Weil Ware,” giftware, artware, tableware, and figurines.
