This rectangular planter has great openwork reticulated decoration on the sides in the style of the maker Hirado with simple blue and white underglaze decoration. The planter was probably made to hold bulbs or bonsai plants.

Condition: Some age wear. There is a very professional repair to the rim of the planter.
