Engraved by Jacobus Houbraken (1698-1780) for ‘The Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain’ by Thomas Birch (1705-1766). Published in London. The Frame is a high quality mid-later 20th century example with a gilt edge between the etching and the marbleized painted mat. The original print has very minor foxing on the left side. See less
