"Athens" unframed limited edition serigraph on BFK Rives paper by Japanese artist Risaburo Kimura. Hand signed, titled and numbered by the artist in pencil. Paper Size: 30" x 22", Image Size: 28" x 20". Edition Number: 126/250. Circa 1980s. Condition: Good. Some creases on the edges of the paper and small tears on the bottom edge do not affect the image and can be matted over. Certificate of Authenticity is included. Make an offer!
BIO:
Risaburo Kimura (1924 - 2014)
Risaburo Kimura was born in Yokusaka in Japan. He studied education and philosophy at the universities at Yokohama and Tokyo. In the 1960s he moved to New York and became an internationally recognized artist.
His works are in all major art museums of the world like Guggenheim and Moma in New York, Kyoto City Hall, Cinncinnati Art Museum, Philadelphia Art Museum and a few more. One of his best known series is a suite titled "Great Cities of the World".
