Looked back upon as the ultimate showcase of mid-century promise, the 1964/1965 New York World’s Fair was a world’s fair celebrating technology, culture, and corporation. Set amidst the backdrop of the Space Age, the fair is had a wonderful mood of hope and optimism and held over 140 pavilions for 80 nations and 24 US states. A huge 51 million people are thought to have attended the event, and seen attractions such as the iconic introduction of audio-animatronics by Walt Disney.
