Made in the grand … Read more Mid-Century Modern bronze and steel writing desk, or bureau plat designed by John Vesey (American 1924-1992). Made in the grand neoclassical French Louis XVI taste featuring Steel construction over wood with gilt bronze trim and an iconic profile. The desk is fronted by three storage drawers that open to reveal an impressive construction with a fitted velour lining. The top of the case is fitted with a black tooled leather inset having gilt borders. The table is supported by elegant fluted columns ending with square bronze feet. Each column is bronze mounted on top with bronze swag decorating the corners. This desk was custom made for the client whos initials lay atop the leather. See less
