Description: Beautiful Antique Japanese Geisha Kyodai Tansu with beveled mirror from the (Meiji Period) 1868-1912.
The disproportionately elongated mirror is such … more Beautiful Antique Japanese Geisha Kyodai Tansu with beveled mirror from the (Meiji Period) 1868-1912.
The disproportionately elongated mirror is such that when the tansu is placed on the floor, the kneeling Geisha could comfortably apply her make-up and fix her hair, the mirror can be removed for easy transport. Wood band under the mirror is decorated with classic Japanese cutouts design.
The base sits on 4 corner feet and has 3 drawers of different sizes with iron pulls that would hold make-up and hair accessories.
Bear the stamp of the Master Craftsman underneath.
Beautiful wood grain with exquisite details this vanity would look be the star on top of a dresser in a bedroom, or a mantel.
