Hand-crafted from old-growth oak, it features a neoclassical style popular during the period in keeping with the tastes of the court of Louis XVI. Carved embellishment consists of wildflower and folaite themes accented by cast brass knobs and key guards, with complementary carvings on the rounded cornerposts. As a transitional gesture, a tailored scrolled apron appears at the front and each side with scrolled, unadorned legs.
