The only imperfection is at the top of one lamp just below where the socket screws in. The wood had started to split so I used wood glue to repair it. It seems firmly in place, but could be re-glued should it loosen up during shipping. Once a lamp shade is added, I don't think this spot would even show.

This is a pair of large mid century vintage driftwood table lamps firmly seated on heavy marble bases. One measures about 26 1/2" from the table top to the light socket, and the other measures about 24 1/2" to the light socket. One has a matching driftwood finial, but the finial is missing for the other lamp. The measurement to the top of the finial is just over 36" from the table top.
Each marble base measures about 11" x 8 1/2", and the top of each marble base is about 1" tall, as measured from the table top. Each marble base is covered on the bottom by a piece of felt so that a wooden table top will not get scratched by the marble base.
Each lamp works to perfection, and both lamps and marble bases are in great condition -- with one exception. There was a split starting at the top of one of the driftwood lamps where the socket is screwed into the hole that was drilled through the driftwood. I repaired this with wood glue before the split got out of hand. I will try to package these as very fragile items so as to minimize the possibility of the split opening back up, but it is possible you may end up needing to apply more wood glue at this spot. I included a photo which shows this spot.
These are way underpriced, especially given that there is a set available. The low prices much more than compensates for the cost of shipping!!! Check out the few similar ones for sale (there won't be many because they are rare), then return here to get a monster of a deal!
My current plans are to ship each lamp in separate packaging due to size, weight and fragile nature of the lamps.
Each lamp electric cord is about 5 1/2 feet long.
I am sure I don't have to tell you just how unique this pair of vintage lamps is! Research the few lamps like this you will find and I think you'll see these are in much better condition than most, larger than almost any you will find, and that the pair is priced less than a single one of similar size and quality. less
