It is in a gracious Queen Anne style with front cabriole legs and ball and claw feet. It has no maker’s mark but may be late 17th century/early 18th century Dutch. The Dutch originated this style of veneering marquetry in the 17th century and popularized and exported it throughout Europe. The chair is remarkably sturdy and comfortable for its age and has a green velvet seat that easily pulls out for reupholstering. less
