This ultra Mid-Century Modern set includes one ice bucket and five glasses, all in Couroc's kitschy fish market motif. This full set would make a stunning addition to any MCM bar or sushi gathering! The glasses are low balls and are made of thick, high quality glass adorned with metallic 22kt gold hand painted scenes of a fisherman's wharf / market village. The stunning glassware is accompanied by a large, matching ice bucket with the same motif and a sleek gold tone metal handle and knob. The inside of the ice-bucket is insulated and lined so your ice will stay nice and frozen, ready to refill your next cocktail. Each piece is signed Couroc and the ice bucket has it's original gold foil sticker with care instructions on the underside. Cheers!
History:
The company was founded in 1948 by Guthrie Courvoisier and his wife Moira Wallace. Whimsical and intricately designed, Couroc trays and barware were produced for more than 40 years by highly skilled artisans in Monterey, California. Due to a unique hand made process no two Couroc pieces are exactly alike; each vintage mid-century modern piece celebrates unmatched beauty and durability. Courvoisier’s wife, Moira, was a child prodigy artist. Throughout the decades, the husband-and-wife team led skilled artisans in crafting unique pieces that rose to high popularity and were sold in many high-end department stores. As the company would say, “Any tray can serve a drink. Only Couroc can start a conversation.”
