Large size gold gilt wooden ceremonial fraternal Masonic Crook perched on a long painted wooden pole. Supported by a decorative three-footed metal base, the gilt wood crook itself measures 10 inches tall from the ball to the top x 5 inches wide. Over-all it measures 75 inches tall. The crook, as the staff of the shepherd, is associated with the Odd Fellows Encampment Degrees. The members recognize the crook as a symbol of watchful care, which they are expected to exhibit toward other members, family, friends, and their community.
The Masonic/Freemasonry spear staff is also a wonderful old piece and has a nice early design, with a wood shaft and metal head that measures 12.50 inches and is perched on the same decorative base as the crook. The over-all height is 78 inches.
