Rustic 19th century French Louis Philippe period farmhouse work table or console table. Beautifully crafted from fruitwood with peg joinery. The plank top has breadboard ends and showcases the rich grain patterns of the wood. The frieze is fitted with a storage drawer on each end with one end also having a pullout work surface. This is a typical French kitchen work table of that period and had many uses. The case is supported by elegant turned legs ending with ball feet. The table measures 21 inches from the floor to the apron. The patina has a beautiful warm dark honey tone with age that is full of character and charm. This table could also serve as a console table. Classic European farmhouse profile and style.
