This open Dish Bowl is a fine piece of artwork that is attractive enough for decorating but durable enough to be used.
This design type was made in the mid-1980s and is NO LONGER AVAILABLE, making it a HIGHLY Collectible piece of usable Pottery Art that will be a delight for any home. A member of the Ottawa Potter's Guild, Jane is one of those potters who LOVES her work. She focuses on functional pottery and tries to make what is popular, so her designs and glazes are constantly changing. In Canadian pottery circles, she is known for her colorful pieces that are large and functional with bold colors and designs. She enjoys making pieces that can be used daily and likes the fact that the things she makes come from the earth, and will some day go back to the earth. Jane works from her home studio in Ottawa where she is inspired by her experiences living and traveling in both Africa and Asia.
This functional Dish Bowl is BEAUTIFUL to look at and safe to use to store food as Jane only uses lead-free clay and glazes.
