A gorgeously designed mid-century modern executive desk by Harvey Probber that is guaranteed to command its space. This rare, monumental and timeless desk has a thick and sweeping curved walnut top with flared ends that gracefully floats above a minimalist tapered leg on one end, a narrow drawer in the center and a cabinet-encased filing drawer on the opposite end. The alternating grain pattern of its book-matched walnut veneer is stunning and well preserved.
Harvey Probber was a popular mid-century designer whose elegant furniture has been recently rediscovered by collectors. He pioneered one of the most important innovations of his time: modular seating. His furniture, with simple and stylish lines, was built to last and designed to age gracefully.
