Mustardseed and Moonshine was started in 1992 by Kate Carlyle in Cape Town, South Africa. Handmade of high-fired earthenware, this thin and delicate piece was marketed as a serving bowl that is dishwasher, oven and microwave proof.
There are two chips that may be manufacturing flaws—we just are unsure. Pictures 3 and 4 are of one 1/16" chip with a hairline coming out of it; the other is a 1/8" chip (picture 5)
Areas of crazing
