There … more C.1950's; Marianne Starck design, for Micheal Andersen Studios, (Bornholm, Denmark), is this Danish ceramic crackle regal head bust . There are prominent, glazed sections, predominantly the hair and the collar, in a vibrant aubergine or wine coloration, along with a fence or light blue gray integrated into a geometric stamped overlay pattern, indicative of the latter Art Deco era. The stylized hair takes on wave-like shapes, like Japanese images of Tsunami waves, but surely stamped within the Art Deco era of hairstyles of the 40s-50's. The regal look of confidence in the face, also change upon any up down, angled look and the emotive changes especially so that the eyes are have shut and squinting, as if to promote a haute, with self confidence, surety and independence. Had and is currently owned by one owner, passed one from generation to generation, within one family since c.1953. In great condition, minute wear to base resting area, normal, conducive and indicative of to and fro movement, otherwise, no chips, cracks, nor breaks. From a Delray Beach, Florida Estate.
