"Famed Italian Glass Maker Fiam Italia has collaborated with Phillipe Starck numerous times, producing together a number of spectacular design classics. The Gelly glass displays are characterized by a purity of form that exudes a moderate luxury, while maintaining a minimalistic and modern look. At the same time, their light geometric shape shows their content in the best possible way. The design is evocative of an Edwardian bedside table, with delicate legs supporting a “strict” geometric cubical structure. Much like many of Starck’s famous design such as the Victoria chair and the Louis chair, this design refers back to an earlier era, interpreted in a modern way.
The Gelly glass displays are undoubtedly a timeless piece of modern design. They are made of 10mm safety glass the four elegant legs are aluminum." less
