Ellis Nelson (1929-2015) was a retired auto mechanic who became a self taught metal sculptor. His interesting and often whimsical sculptures, ranging from large dinosaurs to small bats, garnered the attention of collectors worldwide. His son Tom took over the business, known as Dark Metal Artworks, in 2013.
