This contemporary impressionist painting captures a timeless scene in French Polynesia. Created in plein air and contrasting the many shades of greens and blues with splashes of red and tans, this beautiful painting features the bold colors and textures of the Venezuelan/American artist Maria Bertran. Limited Edition of 200 including Proofs hand signed by the artist.
The artist splits her time between Provence and Laguna Beach in California, working entirely on location and from life to create impressive depth and authenticity in her work. She obtained her BFA from Washington University in St. Louis, and has her work in collections on six continents.

Born in Caracas, Venezulea, Maria Bertran studied in Paris before establishing her studio in Laguna Beach. Painting entirely on location or from live subjects, Bertran infuses her impressionist works with passion and the colors of her native culture.
Maria Bertran has had successful exhibitions in France, Venezuela and the United States and her work is in private collections on six continents. Her work is regularly featured in the Pacfic Edge Gallery of Laguna Beach. less
