Målerås glassworks was founded in 1890, during a period of industrialism in Sweden. A century later, the glassworks was threatened by take-over or shut down. Led by Mats Jonnason, the community joined forces around Målerås glasswork’s destiny, and the future of their village. Today the glassworks employs 90 people, up from 15 in 1981. less
