Characteristic portrayal and foliate borders and ornamentation, in Gold and White
Tagged on the underside by a previous collector or gallery

English, from the Early to Mid 18th Century, circa 1700-1760
This type of finely crafted enamelware is known as collectively as Battersea enamel, to distinguish it as a solely British production. However, pieces like this were produced in several places in England during the period, notably Bilston, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Midlands and the namesake London suburb of Battersea
