A beautiful vintage figurine brass elephant born in Korea circa 1960. Standing on top of a pedestal this pachyderm reaches 18" tall from base to the tip of the trunk.
Elephant statues with their trunks facing upwards are considered to be very lucky and bring good fortune to the family. Elephants with their trunks upwards and standing on the rear legs represent power and protection which is symbolized in this delightful brass piece.
The brass has a delightful aged patina appearance with minor cosmetic imperfections. There are no chips and no cracks to the metal.
Somewhat heavy for size, very sturdy on pedestal, would look great as decorative decor on a coffee table, console table or as a paper weight on a writing desk.
